Ladies Night v.6.16
Thursday night, once a month, we've recently started a Ladies Night amongst the attendees of our dinner club, and other women that we like. Tonight I hosted, and the theme was beading. It was really a wonderful time, whether anyone beaded or not. Thought I finished a mere two rows of MaryElla (camera's batteries are dead), there was a lot of creativity flowing, and even better conversation and delightment in each other. Here's the proof:
Action Shot 1: Frantic beading
Action Shot 2: Protecting the innocent by witholding names
Ann beads and wins
Ann bravely beaded for the first time. She boldly placed her fate in the hands of the experts at Dawn's Hide and Bead Away. After a few short hours (in which the hostess distractedly knit 8 mere beads out of a thousand something into her MaryElla), Ann crafted a necklace and anklet that are fantastic with her brilliant red Birks. Applause.
Unstoppable
There is furthermore no stopping Jill. Did she make all of these pieces tonight? I have no idea. What I do know is that she is unstoppable. Forgive my foot which I am too lazy to crop.
Unstoppable 2
Even in the face of crushing a bead with her sheer might, she mocks this fleeting barrier. (Can you tell I'm up past bedtime? Melodrama creeps in.)
MaryElla update
Follow-up from last time: These are my new 4 ought knitting needles, compared to my gargantuan-in-comparison US 2 Addi circs. I seriously felt like I was knitting chunky, no bulky, weight yarn on US 32s after switching from MaryElla to my fingering weight socks earlier today. Crazy.
Next time: how I learned to knit for the earnest beginner plaguing my comments (wink!).
As a good-night note: After spending the evening with some new and expecting mothers, I would like to remind concerned parties that I am ready, willing, and able to be an aunt in the very near future. Peace!

Ruby,
That's great! Sounds like most of your knitting group is married. Just wondering if you have any plans or a special someone to settle down with yourself.
Purl On,
Big Betsy
